Led by J. Eugene Grigsby III and Paul Leon, recuperative care centers provide hospitals a safe discharge option for homeless patients who are not sick enough to remain in the hospital, but are too sick for a shelter. The centers assist clients by offering medical support, transportation to appointments and a safe environment in which they can rest and recover. While staying at the center, staff members work to find permanent housing for their clients. For more information about recuperative care centers, please visit nhfca.org.
